General Pinochet

Hero or Thug ? up to everyone to decide for themselves, its hard because we can't predict what would have happened have he not take power of the country, but if you extrapolate the series of events in 1973, I'm sure most history buffs would agree that he did the right thing, obviously taking control of a democratically elected communist government (which only won with 36% of the votes due to the split in the Center -right parties) is wrong, or is it ? is it right to watch someone kill themself and not do anything about it ? is it right to watch a country destroy itself because the the irresponsibility and ignorance of some ? or perhaps the desperation of some... i would argue that Pinochet not only saved Chile from an even more brutal dictatorship by the Communist USSR style government, but that everything that Chile is experiencing now is due to the fact that he made a hard decision. Some died, yes, but like all civil wars, and that is what it was... a struggle between classes, and yes Military personnel died too, people die. Obviously it would be great if we could all solve problems drinking whiskey around a table, but it doesn't work that way. I say being against Pinochet and what he did is being against Modern capitalism and free market economies. Its being against our own beliefs as a country.

Just some facts, Pinochet held two referendums, he lost in the latter one and relinquished power. It takes great courage to do whats right when many are against it , and certainly if you know that the orders you give will essentially condemn some people death, but think of the big picture.You are not out to save a few people, you are out to save the country, the future. My condolences to those who lost loved ones in these tragic events, none of the above can ever erase you anger and hate. I hope you can see my point of view.

I'm back

Its not a Blog, its the fics times... damn thats corny. anyways im not going to ask you to stay tuned because last time i said that nothing happened. But i will let you know that i will be updating this blog regularly... if you want.... stop by, or not whatever...lol. cya aroud.

A Lot Of Things

First, and not that new, I like the new 10 dollar bill. The "We The People" written on it is plain Badass. I am even thinking of going to the bank teller and asking her for 10's all the time. My anger at gators is going away, slowly, but it is. Spoiler ahead : "DaVinci Code" came out just now, a lot of hype but i read that they toned it down from the original book. The movie is missing the "sex rite" scene. What i dont understand about the "Davinci code" is ... after all those castles... all those chases... all those tricky ass clues... he gets a lousy kiss ? yeah i know, i was expecting much more too. At least the Landrover Part is cool. Time to go, the repeat of The Tonight Show is on.

Munich

It's been years since I've seen Spielberg at his best. This movie is incredible. So much that i will not even talk about it, to not spoil it. My advice is to watch it. It's worth it. Also, im sure you've all heard the news about the Alligator attack. Well, as most of you know, it was about 30 seconds away from my home. I say lift the ban and minimize their numbers. It sickens me to think about it. How the family must feel. Finding the two arms inside this animal. And what can you do? They are animals, its the way it works. This is our planet, we are at the top of the food chain, I say lower their numbers now!

" A Lot Like Love"

I've noticed i use the word "Love" a lot lately. Hmm. We'll not even touch that subject. I'm writing to tell you about a movie i saw. well, I only saw half of it last night. It was pretty good, but what impressed me was the music. It's not everyday that a movie has an awesome soundtrack. Seriously, i liked all the songs. Maybe its a "phase" lol. Ok NO! i said i wouldn't get into it. But definitely check out the movie when you have a chance.

Big Love

Lately, I've been watching a lot of "Big Love" HBO's new show. It's about a polygamist and his family and businesses in Utah. I have to say, Having three wives ? of course it is totally wrong. Is it ? what if the wives are willing ? if you think Taliban, it is Extremely wrong how women are treated. Extremist Mormons are very different and very alike in many ways. Extremist Mormons seem to have a little more respect for women but the fact remains they do what they want. So if you could and it was Socially acceptable and your partners were willing, would you have more then one Significant other ? Seems tempting to men, who right away will think of three Beautiful supermodels and such. But the Answer is easy. Women are HUMAN BEINGS! , would you share your adorable wife with Bob the mechanic ?

Con Los Años Que Me Quedan

Hola mi querida audiencia, les cuento que lo que uds leen es legendario. Es primera vez que el premio novel y ganador de premio pulitzer Felipe Carrasco es BLoggiando en castellano. Para los que no pueden leer esto, no se preocupen por que no es tan interesante. Biggest Comeback in Blog History

That's right, im trying to make the biggest comeback in blog history. I know it will be sort of difficult because not many people read my blog, it probably has something to do with the fact that i havent written anything in six months. I think it is still worth a shot trying to save it. I will have to do much publicity again. Like when the marketing geniuses tried to save win-dixie but failed. But i wont, i will succed.
